We are looking for speakers and workshop facilitators for Spectrum Tokyo Festival 2027.
We're not looking for a "perfect presentation." We want people who have genuinely engaged with their work and thinking, accomplished something meaningful, and found their own way to express creativity — and who want to share that with others here.

This edition's theme is "Having an Edge." Resistance to flatness. Anti-generic.
It's well known that LLMs can only produce "average." So what does "your design" look like beyond that? Spectrum Tokyo Festival 2027 is looking for speakers who are grappling with that question.
There are already plenty of conversations about how to use AI and coexist with it. We want to hear what comes after that. Given that technology is a given — what are you designing? What choices are you making? What are you protecting, and what are you breaking?
We believe that creativity connects to joy, and that freedom of expression is what sparks innovation and new design. That creativity isn't just in your output — it lives in your process and strategy too. Bring your raw, uninhibited perspective and unleash it on our audience.
Your topic can be professional work, personal projects, or anything related to design.
Offer Humanity Where does sensibility, worldview, and taste come from — and how is it cultivated? In an age of commoditization, humanity is the last differentiator. This theme explores how to sharpen it and root it deeply in your work.
Possessed by Craftsmanship There's a kind of "goodness" that can't be put into words — and yet it's real. How do you translate that into something compelling within a business or a team? This theme digs into the value of making things from instinct and drive.
The Scale of Morality As technology evolves, the line between right and wrong keeps shifting. How do you, as a designer, engage with the health of society? Designing for morality is risk management — and a business decision in itself.
🙅 What We're Not Looking For
Please avoid proposals centered on generative AI: how-to guides, tool introductions, or content where AI is the primary subject. Using AI in your creative process is perfectly fine — we just don't want AI itself to be the focus.
